In support of our metal stamping services, Sherwood Prototype, Inc. has CNC machining and turning operations to machine tooling and studs for our stampings and assemblies. We work with a wide range of materials, dependent on the needs of your project: kirksite, tool steels, low carbon steels, and aluminums. We work with you to consider both structural requirements and cost sensitivities to determine the best material fit. Our CNC machining and turning machines offer 3-axis machining, with three-chuck or four-chuck fixturing and tolerances as tight as 0.001".

Our CNC machining and turning machines are capable of producing parts with diameters as small as 0.118", or as large as 10" or more. We feature full machining capabilities: threading, drilling, contouring, facing, profiling, and more: whatever process is needed to machine the right piece.
