Laser Cutting & Laser Welding

Offering laser cutting and laser welding services, Sherwood Prototype, Inc. specializes in prototype and short run production for various industries. Our laser cutting and laser welding services cover materials including high strength steels, martensite, and spring steels, as well as aluminum and brass. Our CO2 laser with flying optic design is a 6-axis unit, which can cut materials up to 0.3125" thick, and weld to a depth of 0.118" with orbital or straight welding processes. Laser welding also offers benefits including a minimal heat affected zone and highly repeatable results.
The precision of our laser cutting and laser welding processes allows us to meet tolerances as tight as ±0.001", with a maximum part dimension of 72" x 96". We serve clients from the electronics, aerospace, medical, and automotive industries, as well as several others, manufacturing a variety of specialty products.
